This Privacy Policy explains how Pet Territory Wars (“we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, retains, and protects your information when you use our location-based mobile game and related services.

2. Information We Collect
We only collect information necessary to operate the core gameplay, authenticate your account, and deliver game features. We do not collect unnecessary personal information.
Account & Authentication Information
- OAuth Subject Identifier: When signing in with Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple, we receive a unique account identifier from the provider to verify your identity. We never collect or store your passwords.
- Player Profile: Your chosen display name, avatar selection, and selected home city.
Pet Information
- Your companion pet’s name and selected visual avatar indicator.
Location & GPS Data
- Fine-Grained GPS Coordinates: Latitude, longitude, altitude, accuracy, timestamp, and speed recorded during an active walk.
- Collection Trigger: GPS data is collected only while you have explicitly started and are actively recording a walk. It is not recorded when a walk is not in progress.
Moments (Photos & Captions)
- Photos you take or select to share in your Moments feed, along with optional text captions and linked pet associations.
Gameplay & Aggregate Stats
- Walk summary numbers (total distance, duration), captured territory hexes, and seasonal leaderboard scores.
3. How We Use Information
We use collected data solely for legitimate game operations and community interaction:
- Game Mechanics & Validation: Processing walk GPS points to calculate valid walk paths, territory claims, and hexagonal map dominance using our deterministic game engine.
- Fair Play & Anti-Cheat: Validating movement speed and realism constraints to maintain competitive integrity across all players.
- Leaderboards & City Statistics: Maintaining city-wide activity totals and seasonal competition rankings.
- Community & Social Interaction: Displaying your shared Moments in public and personal feeds, allowing other players to view and like your pet moments.
4. Information Sharing & Third-Party Service Providers
We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal data. We do not use third-party advertising networks, data brokers, or tracking analytics SDKs.
Service Providers
We work with trusted infrastructure providers strictly to operate the game services:
- Authentication Providers (Google & Apple): Used solely to authenticate your sign-in requests securely without storing passwords.
- Cloudflare R2: Used as secure cloud object storage for binary photo assets shared in Moments.
- Mapbox: Used within the mobile client to render base map visual tiles.
Publicly Visible Information
Other players in Pet Territory Wars can view your display name, avatar, home city, claimed map territory hexes, and photos you publish to Moments. Your fine-grained GPS routes and raw coordinates are never published to other players.
5. Data Retention Policy
We adhere to strict data minimization and lifecycle boundaries:
- Server-Side Raw GPS Data: Raw GPS points recorded during walks are retained on our servers for a standard retention period of 60 days for gameplay audit and verification. Coordinates older than 60 days are permanently purged via automated maintenance routines.
- Client-Side Local GPS Data: On your mobile device, temporary raw GPS points are held only until safe upload and are automatically removed within a maximum of 24 hours after completion.
- Walk Summaries & Statistics: Aggregate mathematical numbers (such as total walk distance and duration) are retained in connection with gameplay history to ensure the integrity of city and season records.
- Moments & Profile Data: Retained while your account remains active.
6. Account & Data Deletion
You have the absolute right to delete your account and associated personal data at any time.
In-App Account Deletion Flow
You can permanently delete your account directly inside the Pet Territory Wars mobile application:
- Open the application and navigate to the Profile tab.
- Scroll down and tap Delete Account (Hesabımı Sil).
- Review the permanent deletion explanation and confirm your decision.
External Web Deletion Requests
If you have uninstalled the application or cannot access your device, you can request account deletion externally via our dedicated web resource without reinstalling the app: Account Deletion & Data Lifecycle page.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
Upon confirmed deletion, our systems immediately execute the following lifecycle actions:
- Authentication Unlinked: Your external identity link (Google or Apple subject) is permanently deleted, immediately revoking all active sessions and allowing you to register freshly in the future if you choose.
- Immediate Location Purge: All fine-grained raw GPS points linked to your walks are immediately and permanently deleted, without waiting for the normal 60-day retention window.
- Profile & Pets Anonymized: Your display name is scrubbed to “Deleted Player”, avatar links are cleared, and pet names are cleared to preserve database integrity without retaining personal data.
- Territory Relinquished: Any map territories currently owned by your account are immediately detached and reset to unowned status.
- Moments Removed: All moments you published are removed from public feeds and profiles, captions are cleared, associated likes are removed, and media storage cleanup is dispatched.
7. Security & Secure Data Handling
We implement robust technical measures to protect your information:
- All communications between the mobile application and backend servers use encrypted HTTPS / TLS protocols.
- Authentication tokens, passwords, and raw GPS coordinates are never written to application logs.
- Access tokens have short lifetimes and sensitive session material is kept in encrypted device storage.
8. Policy Updates & Contact
